St Laurence’s offers a vibrant and inclusive music program covering classroom, instrumental and vocal music.
The music program has a strong influence within the College, involving over 600 students from Years 5 to 12. All boys enrolled at the College are encouraged to be involved in a large variety of ensembles encompassing many standards, musical styles and genres.
The co-curricular program runs in conjunction with an extensive classroom music program. The classroom music program is compulsory for Years 5-8 and elective from Years 9-12. In 2009, there are six classes of Senior Music, including one class of Music Extension (performance).

The Senior ensembles participate in interstate and international tours every few years. In 2008 the Concert Band, Jazz Big Band, Brotherhood Choir, Senior String Ensemble and Guitar Orchestra toured to China, visiting Hong Kong and Beijing.
Music students participate in numerous performances, national and international tours, camps and competitions (in which they are often successful), as well as, playing a vital role in the performing and liturgical life of the College.
