St Laurence’s offers a number of social events to students in their Secondary years. The boys always look forward to these events and certainly enjoy their experiences.
Primary and Year 8 hold their own social events to introduce the boys to girls from others schools in a non-threatening and controlled atmosphere. These events usually involve after school BBQs and games afternoons.College Socials are held for Year 9-12students 2 to 3 times per year. Invitations are extended to girls from other Catholic Girls schools. Socials are held in Brady Hall.

On separate dates in August each year the Year 11 Semi-Formal and Year 12 Senior Formal are held. The Semi-Formal is an invitation only event involving finger food, drinks and dancing through the evening. The Formal is obviously more formal with pre-dinner drinks with parents and family followed by a formal dinner and dancing.
St Laurence’s encourages participation in these events as part of the growth of the boys. At the same time the College seeks to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all involved. Staff, parents and security personnel strictly supervise all social events, and the boys are instilled with values and manners expected of Christian gentlemen.
