The College will now be conducting its Basketball tour to California (United Sates of America) in the 2012 September School Holidays. The aim of the tour is to expose the basketball talent in the College to a higher standard of competition, thus developing this talent for the future. It is also hoped to give our students a cultural experience that would not be able to be achieved here in Australia.
A 15 years and younger ‘Development Squad’ will take part in the tour. The teams will play games against Catholic high schools in Los Angeles and San Diego. Training sessions will also be held while on tour. These sessions will be taken by American coaches to build the knowledge and skills of our students and staff.
The students and staff will also visit tourist attractions like Disneyland, Universal Studios, Beverly Hills and Hollywood, Seaworld (San Diego), The San Diego Zoo and Legoland (San Diego), and see the many sites that California has to offer.
