The St Laurence’s College Development Office is located in the Administration Building and is coordinated by the Director of Development.
The Development Office manages the marketing of special events to support the College in its various endeavours. This integrated and cohesive approach to community relations is paramount to the success of the ‘friend raising’ and ‘fundraising’ activities conducted by St Laurence’s College. The Development Office encourages parents, current students, Old Boys, sponsors, friends and industry to work in partnership through various College activities.
Mr Nick Allen is the current Director of Development.
The Development Office has a number programs:
- Business Breakfasts: These breakfasts have included distinguished speakers such as Dr Ian Frazer, Hugh Lunn, John Symond, Eddie Groves, Mark Stockwell, Douglas Wood and Lord Mayor Campbell Newman.
- Walkathon: This is an event in which the whole College community, particularly staff and students, is engaged. The primary purpose of this event is to foster College spirit and raise awareness and funding for charitable entities that the College is associated with. In 2010 the College successfully partnered with the AEIOU.
- Corporate Golf Day: Over the years this event has established a reputation that has set it apart from the usual school/corporate golf functions. Professionally organised, with great prizes and exciting and fun entertainment that involves all players, the event has many corporate partners such as Flight Centre, The Coffee Club and Infocus, as well as valued supporters, parents, Old Boys, suppliers and business partners who are invited to participate as players and/or sponsors on the day.
- Edmund Rice Performing Arts Centre (ERPAC): The College has a 1500 seat auditorium. The Development Office is responsible for the marketing and hire of this complex to outside organisations for conferences, performances or any other requirements.
