World Youth Day
World Youth Day (WYD) is the largest youth event in the world and celebrates the Catholic faith. WYD08 was held in Sydney July 2008 and attracted 223000 registered pilgrims, including 110000 from 170 nations outside Australia, making it the largest event ever hosted in Australia.
Ten students and two teachers from St Laurence’s College shared in that experience and found it unforgettable and spiritually uplifting. Students will have the opportunity to attend future World Youth Days.
