Outdoor Education is an essential part of the St Laurence’s College curriculum and the College has programs that cater for students of different abilities and aims to enhance boys’ self esteem and team skills. From Years 5 to 10 students follow a program of increasing challenge culminating in a trek requiring significant self reliance and teamwork.
In Year 11, students take part in a Leadership Camp, which involves outdoor education activities as well as indoor leadership development sessions. The aim of the Leadership Camp is to prepare the Year 11 students for their future leadership roles as Seniors in their Year 12 at the College.
In Year 12 students attend the Year 12 Kairos, which is a spirituality based retreat. It involves activities aimed at developing personal spirituality where students are given a number of options for their Kairos and where they work individually and in smaller groups.Next
