Walkathon 2018

A sea of yellow will again sweep through Brisbane city as our students and staff walk for the annual College Walkathon to raise funds for multiple charities.

On Friday 10 August over 1,800 students and more than 200 staff will complete the 15-kilometre walk around the Brisbane River with students raising money in the lead up to the big day.

The Walkathon is in its 49th year since beginning at the South Brisbane College where totals raised from previous years have exceeded $50,000.

The walk starts from the College grounds, meanders through West End, over the Story Bridge, through the Botanical Gardens, across the Goodwill Bridge into South Bank and back to the school grounds to the finish line.

Our Charities

This year the Walkathon will support Catholic Foundation – Archdiocese of Brisbane, Act for Kids, The Hands of Rescue (THOR) Foundation, Childhood Cancer Support and  the Mater Foundation – Mater Little Miracles.
