St Laurence’s College is proud to have a partnership with Manchester City Football to offer Queensland’s first and only Manchester City Football School.
Through the combined knowledge of one of the most successful football clubs in the world and one of the leading school football and sporting programs in Queensland, the Manchester City Football School at St Laurence's College aims to develop the next generation of footballers.
Our exclusive Manchester City Football Club Academy coach Mr Jamie Davies delivers the program, giving students access to training both in and outside of normal school hours year-round. In 2023, the program is open to Year 5, 6 and 7 students with additional grades added each subsequent year (i.e. in 2024, the program will be open to Year 5, 6, 7 and 8 students).
Players who are not current students of St Laurence's College and are interested in joining the program must trial.
Entry into the program in 2023 and 2024 is now finalised, with trials for entry in Year 5 or 7 2025 to take place on Wednesday 16 August. Trials for entry in 2026 will take place in 2024.
Current St Laurence's College students will be selected based on participation and performance in the AIC Football season.
