Lauries Walk

St Laurence's College will walk for charity in a new format in 2020, continuing the yearly 'Walkathon' tradition which exceeds 45 years.

This year, the entire Lauries community will participate in the Lauries Walk fundraising event, which aims to get families walking 5-kilometres together in their local area during October.

In support of numerous charities, the Lauries Walk presents a great way for the community to get active and raise funds for charity in a COVID-19 safe way.

Like Walkathon, all funds raised from the Lauries Walk will go towards House charities and this year's College charity - NUBA Project.

"We aim to gift 40 sewing machines to families in South Sudan to ensure they can provide for their children, as part of our fundraising efforts this year," Principal, Mr Chris Leadbetter said.

"Together, we can make a real difference in the lives of others and spend quality time with our families," he said.

Students are urged to register their walk, fundraise for their House and College charities (where possible) and submit a photo or video of their walk for the chance to win prizes.

Prizes include a Medium Ultra Trampoline with Shade cover , kindly donated by Vuly Australia (, a Dell Latitude 5300 2-in-1 Laptop with pen & bag, kindly donated by Dell Australia, sporting equipment and much more.

Donations can be made online HERE, via the cards given to students or via the Donations link on the College App.
