From the Pastoral Office

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

Year 12 Netball V All Hallows College

On Friday 9 May, a number of our Year 12 students travelled to All Hallows for a friendly netball match between their Seniors. The students were very excited to showcase their, some might argue, limited, netball skills and are no doubt thankful for the expert coaching before the event of Ms Lara Dunkley. It was a wonderful afternoon and although the boys played extremely well, they did go down in both games by slender margins. Thank you to Mr Malcolm, Mr Taylor and the staff at All Hallows for facilitating this afternoon and we look forward to further matches throughout the year.

Particular thanks to Mr Nathan Burridge for his leadership with this event.

Junior Ensemble Concert

Well done to all students who played or sang in the bands and choirs at last night's enjoyable concert.  I am impressed by our students' talent and energy.  Our Music Department prepared many students well for their first Lauries concert.  It was great to see many Senior school students helping and playing with our young musicians and singers. Thanks to all for a good evening.

Year 11

Our Year 11's finished their exams on Tuesday this week, completing Unit 1. They are now doing Unit 2 of their ATAR and applied subjects. I hope they did well and I'm glad to have them back in classes.

y-Lead Altitude Leadership Day

Last week, our Year 9 Middle School Leaders attended y-Lead Altitude Leadership Day at Brisbane City Hall, accompanied by Mr Brent Malcolm. The event empowers Year 9 students during this important stage in their school journey. This was a blend of inspirational talks and energising group activities. The day was also a valuable opportunity to network with like-minded students from other Brisbane Schools.

I wish all parents and students the very best and as always, Live Jesus in your hearts...Forever!
