College Formal Uniform Requirements

The following items are compulsory throughout the school year:

  • College blue shirt: Years 5-11
  • White, long sleeve shirt: Year 12
  • Grey shorts
  • Grey trousers: (compulsory for Years 10, 11 and 12 during terms 2 and 3 and optional for other grades during colder months). Grey or black socks are to be worn with trousers.
  • College socks: with grey shorts
  • Black, leather belt: with a plain, silver buckle
  • Yard hat: St Laurence’s College is a Sun Smart school and the College Yard Hat is compulsory for all students while on College grounds each day. It is College policy that every yard hat purchased is embroided with the student's Christian name initial and full surname on the back of the hat. This is included in the purchase price and sent for embroidery by the staff in the uniform shop.
  • College bag or backpack
  • Black, leather, lace up shoes (not available from The Lauries Shop)
  • Blazer and tie:  It is compulsory during Term 2 and 3 that all students wear the College tie. The College Blazer is also to be worn to and from school each day. From time to time, a blazer and tie may be required in other terms for official engagements or ceremonies.

To ensure the correct size and a $50 saving, ALL blazers must be fitted and paid for by the end of the St Laurence’s College school year to ensure delivery by Term 2 the following year.

During the cooler months, students can wear a College jumper under their blazer. They are welcome to remove their blazer once at the College and wear a jumper for comfort and warmth during the school day.

All students are expected to wear the entire uniform with no substitutes or exceptions.  Bags or clothing items that are not part of the uniform are not to be used at any time.

College Sport and Co-Curricular Uniform Requirements

The College conducts Health and Physical Education (HPE) lessons across all years and students are required to wear the white sports polo for these classes and can choose from any of the three College sports shorts available.

St Laurence’s College proudly participates in the A.I.C. (Australian Independent Colleges) fixtures across a number of sports each term.  As representatives of St Laurence’s College, it is expected that students participating in any A.I.C. sport wear the full uniform for that sport including playing shorts, jersey/shirt and socks.  Coaches reserve the right to exclude boys from playing if the correct uniform is not worn on the day. All A.I.C. participants are required to wear the yellow training shirt (one shirt-all sports) for all weekday training.

Any questions about co-curricular sport uniforms can be directed to the coach, sport office or The Lauries Shop.

Second Hand Blazers

The Lauries Shop will gladly accept second hand blazers to be sold on consignment.  Blazers must be dry-cleaned with tag in place. They must be in saleable condition and must have the current crest on the pocket.  The Lauries Shop also stocks replacement blazer pockets and gold buttons. We regret that we cannot accept blazers that are ripped, torn, faded or stained.  Second Hand Blazers are usually sold for $100 - $150.  Once sold, 80% of the sell price is given to the parent and 20% is kept by the College as commission.
