St Laurence’s College Celebrates Mr James McLauchlan’s Inclusion in the TE Hot List 2025

St Laurence’s College is proud to announce that Mr James McLauchlan has been named one of the winners of the prestigious TE Hot List 2025. This national recognition celebrates educators who are transforming teaching and learning across Australia, and Mr McLauchlan’s inclusion is a testament to his leadership and unwavering commitment to student success.

The TE Hot List, curated annually by The Educator, highlights teachers who are driving change in their schools and communities through forward-thinking pedagogy, inclusive practices and impactful curriculum design. Mr McLauchlan’s work at Lauries has consistently demonstrated these qualities.

College Principal Mr Ben Lowrie praised the achievement, saying:

Mr McLauchlan’s recognition also reflects the College’s broader commitment to educational innovation and excellence. 

“James is a teacher who brings energy and authenticity to every lesson. This award is not only a personal achievement but also a reflection of the collaborative and dynamic learning culture we foster at Lauries,” Mr Lowrie said.

Beyond the classroom, Mr McLauchlan has contributed to the College’s co-curricular endeavours and he is a valued member of our Lauries community. His inclusion in the TE Hot List 2025 places him among the most influential educators in the country and reinforces St Laurence’s College’s reputation as a leader in academic excellence.

Mr McLauchlan’s achievements in 2025 don’t stop there as he was also awarded EREA Charter Leadership Award.
