Stylus Rollout: Enhancing Learning for Our Students

We are excited to announce the rollout of stylus pens as part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing student learning and engagement. After a successful trial at the end of last year, we saw firsthand how the use of a stylus can help students interact with their learning in new and dynamic ways—bridging the gap between traditional handwriting and digital learning.

The stylus enables students to:

  • Handwrite notes, sketch diagrams, and annotate work directly on their laptop
  • Improve organisation and memory retention by keeping all their notes in one place
  • Engage more effectively with subjects that benefit from visual learning, such as Mathematics, Science, and Design

From Week 6 Term 1, students in Years 7-12 will have the opportunity to purchase a stylus for $20 through the school’s uniform shop. While the stylus is not compulsory, we strongly encourage students to consider how it may benefit their learning across different subjects.

This is just the first phase of the rollout. As we monitor student engagement, we will explore the possibility of integrating the stylus into the laptop collection process in future years, ensuring that all students have access to this valuable tool from day one.

We look forward to seeing how this rollout enhances student learning and helps prepare them for the future of digital education.
