EREA Principals Conference Mass

Specials thanks to Ji Jenkins, Hugh Morley, Lewis Head and Jordan Russell who provided the music ministry for the National EREA Principals Conference Mass last week at St Stephens Cathedral chapel. This was another wonderful opportunity to showcase Lauries commitment to liturgical music.

Annual Trivia Night

The Lauries Music Support Group hosted their annual Trivia Night this year themed Fantasy and Fairytales last month. It was great to see so many parents attend and was a wonderful way to start our calendar of events. Special thanks to our parent volunteers who assisted on the night and to our compere, Mr Michael Connelly.

LMSG Meeting | Tuesday 18 March | 6pm

Our next Lauries Music Support Group Meeting will be held on Tuesday 18 March in room MU1 (Top floor VAPA building).  A great way to support your son at SLC is by joining the parent’s music support group.  Meetings are once a month on the second Tuesday of each month (term time).

Call for Donations

The Lauries Music Support Group is a subcommittee of the Lauries Community Committee (LCC) and supports the Music Department with the planning of the different concerts and fundraising opportunities throughout the year.

The committee is currently calling soft drink donations for our upcoming concerts. Donations can be delivered to the Music Department before Monday Friday 4 April 2025.

Soft drink Donations: Each carton donated goes into the draw to win a $100 movie voucher!

For any further information, please contact the Music Department on 07 3010 1138 or via email (music@slc.qld.edu.au).

Music Communications

The Music Department will use the College App as our main point of contact with families.

Please take a couple of minutes to update your subscriptions to ensure you receive the relevant notifications for each ensemble.

For Year 5 parents, please ensure you are also subscribed to the ‘Year 5 Music Program’ section under ‘Music’ so you don’t miss any updates on the program.

Please contact the music department: music@slc.qld.edu.au or telephone 3010 1138 if you need any further information.

Strike up the Band!
