Holiday Sport Wrap-Up

The recent school holidays were an action-packed period for Lauries, with a large number of students involved in a range of sporting events.

Twelve of our football teams proudly represented the College at the EREA Football Tournament hosted at Nudgee. It was a fantastic few days of football, with all teams performing admirably. A number of teams progressed to the finals — a tremendous achievement and a testament to their hard work and determination.

In Rugby Union, we had two teams compete in the prestigious Ballymore Cup. Both teams delivered outstanding performances, with a special congratulations to our U14 side who were crowned Cup Champions, and to our First XV, who finished as Runners-Up — an incredible result. A big congratulations also to Year 8 Student Ralph Larsen, who was named U/14 player of the Tournament.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the many students and their families who committed to training and trial games over the break. A special acknowledgment must also go to our dedicated Coaches, Coordinators, and Directors who generously gave up their holiday time to support and guide our teams. Your efforts do not go unnoticed.

Upcoming: Trial Games vs Iona College

Best of luck to all teams competing this weekend in their final trial matches against Iona College. Please refer to the College App for full game schedules and team lists.
