From the Music Department
As Term 3 ends, we’d like to thank all our musicians for a great term and series of enjoyable concerts and performances.
We’d also like to congratulate the Year 11 musicians who led the music worship at the Year 11 Leadership camp at Moogerah earlier this week.
We hope families enjoy the break and we look forward to recommencing lessons and rehearsals Week 1 of Term 4.
Jazz on the Hill
The Music Department warmly invites you to the annual Jazz on the Hill Concert on Friday 9 October, starting at 5:30 pm and concluding around 9pm. This event will showcase SLC Big Bands 1, 2, 3, and the Centenary State High School Stage Band. We are also excited to welcome this year's special guest, renowned jazz musician, Sarah McKenzie and Band.
Sarah is an internationally acclaimed Australian jazz pianist, vocalist and composer whose captivating performances and recordings have earned recognition on stages around the world, bringing a unique blend of sophistication, creativity and swing to contemporary jazz.
Event Details:
Date: Friday 9 October
Venue: Gair Field
Gates open: 4:45pm
LMSG BBQ and Bar open: 4:30pm
Pre-concert entertainment: Begins at 4:45pm with Steamboat
What to bring: Your own picnic blanket and/or chairs. A warm jacket is recommended as it can get chilly on Gair Field in the evening.
Food and drinks: Available for purchase throughout the night. Please note there is no glass permitted on the field.
