Welcome Back – Term 3 Sport Begins
Sport is back in full swing as we begin the final trimester of the 2026 AIC season. This weekend marks the official trial round, with St Laurence's College taking on St Peters and ATC in Basketball and Tennis. In Rugby League, our teams will travel to Iona College, with our First XIII playing for a place in the Dolphins Cup—an NRL schoolboy pathway competition. Participation numbers remain exceptionally strong across all three sports, and there is a great sense of excitement heading into what promises to be another outstanding term of competition.
Holiday Clinics – Thank You
During the school holidays, many of our students and staff participated in Basketball and Tennis training clinics, providing valuable opportunities for skill development and pre-season preparation.
A sincere thank you to all the coaches, staff and students who gave up their time to be involved. The feedback from participants has been overwhelmingly positive and your commitment to providing these opportunities is greatly appreciated.
Historic Success at Confraternity
Congratulations to our Confraternity Rugby League team, who created College history by finishing Division 1 Runners-Up at this year's Confraternity Carnival.
This remarkable achievement marks the first time a St Laurence's College team has competed in the Division 1 competition, making their performance an outstanding milestone for Rugby League at Lauries. The team represented the College with tremendous pride, resilience and sportsmanship throughout the week.
Thank you to all the players, coaches, support staff and families whose dedication and commitment contributed to this memorable campaign.
Representative Sport – Stay Updated
Term 3 is also one of the busiest periods for representative sport, with many students earning opportunities to compete at regional, state and national levels.
Families are encouraged to regularly check the College App for the latest representative sport updates, selections, trial information and important notices throughout the term.
