Roald Dahl Week
The Library was buzzing with excitement during Roald Dahl Week as we celebrated Roald Dahl Day and helped build the student's enthusiasm for Boy, the Year 7 class novel.
Students enjoyed themed displays, activities and a staff dress-up day featuring a flotilla of Matildas, a Fantastic Mr Fox and even Miss Trunchbull! Students who borrowed books were also entered into a Golden Ticket draw to win a special Roald Dahl lunchtime movie experience.
The promotion proved especially popular with our primary boys, many of whom still fondly remember studying Matilda as a class novel. It was wonderful to see students revisiting Dahl's stories, borrowing new books and discovering more about the author behind these beloved tales.
Roald Dahl Week was a fantastic reminder of how the Library supports classroom learning by bringing literature to life and encouraging students to continue their reading journey beyond the classroom.
