Work Ready for the Classroom
SCIPS is offering a Certificate III in School Based Education Support to enable participants to commence employment in the education field. Hosted at St Laurence’s College, we are keen to connect with people looking to make a career change, re-enter the workforce or commence work. This is a great program being offered to 15 participants – so you need to be quick and register your interest in the program.
Register at www.studentrego.com and enter the code 13835. A member of the SCIPS team will then reach out to you for a catch up to discuss the program.
Key Dates
17 September 2025 - Induction Session
- Where all the paperwork required to commence the course is completed, including applying for a volunteer Blue Card and it is a chance to find out more about working as a TA in Queensland schools (Session at St Laurence's College).

- The course is two days a week only (Thursday and Friday), face to face at St Laurence’s. Participants will also complete 100 hours (17 days) of practical placement at a local school, which SCIPS will organise. And best of all, this is a Skilling Queenslanders for Work program that is offered at no cost to the participant as long as they meet the eligibility criteria:

- Unemployed or underemployed (less than 25hrs/week on average)
- Not currently enrolled in study
