We would like to welcome both new and returning students and families.  We have another exciting year of music ahead of us!

2026 Primary Music Leaders (Semester 1)

Congratulations to Sean P and Lachlan T who will be the Primary Music Leaders for Semester 1. 

Year 5 Music Program

We were delighted to welcome many of the Year 5 students to their first instrumental lessons last week.  All year 5’s will meet for their first ensemble rehearsal this Friday, Day 10 Period 2. Students have been allocated to one of the following ensembles.

  • Year 5 Concert Band
  • Year 5 String Orchestra
  • Year 5 Guitar Ensemble
  • Year 5 Choir 

If students are learning an instrument through the College, please ensure they have their music and instrument on Friday. 

Co-Curricular Music Ensemble Rehearsals and Lessons 

Lessons & rehearsals have now commenced, and lesson times will have been communicated home. If you’ve not yet received your lesson time, please contact the Music Department.

Hosted by the Lauries Music Support Group, this adults-only event is the perfect way to launch our Music Calendar. Immerse yourself in a night of fun and friendly competition, test your trivia knowledge, and connect with other families in our community.

Primary Choir ‘Treblehood’ 

Calling all Year 5 & 6 students! Do you love to sing? Want to make new friends, boost your confidence, and be part of something special? Join Treblehood and discover the joy of music! Plus, you'll have exciting performance opportunities throughout the year! No prior experience or audition required. 
Rehearsals take place in ERPAC every Tuesday morning (7:15am – 8:20am). 

Interested in singing lessons? The College also offers co-curricular singing lessons for students who want to further develop their vocal abilities. Lessons cover a range of styles and provide support through voice changes, helping you sing with confidence at every stage. 

Music Communications

The Music Department will use the College App as our main point of contact with families. 

Please take a couple of minutes to update your subscriptions to ensure you receive the relevant notifications for each ensemble.

For Year 5 parents, please ensure you are also subscribed to the ‘Year 5 Music Program’ section under ‘Music’ so you don’t miss any updates on the program.

LMSG (Lauries Music Support Group)

The Lauries Music Support Group (LMSG) is a dedicated community of parents and supporters who assist in the running of the College co-curricular music program. Working closely with the Music Department, the group helps coordinate evets, fundraising activities and provides valuable support behind the scenes to enhance opportunities for all music students.

The LMSG meets every second Tuesday of each month (during School Terms) from 5:30pm-6:30pm either in person or online.
